For those of you who are interested in supporting me financially, here is the address for African Inland Mission in Canada. 1641 Victoria Park Ave.
If you make checks payable to AIM and send a note along specifying that the funds are for me that would be great. 10.23.01 Dear Friends: It has been quite some time since you last heard from me, and I want to get you caught up on my activities. I spent the fall and early winter of 2000 building an addition on a church in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. I enjoyed the opportunity to get to know the people in the congregation, and it was great to help them complete their building project. In January, I left for a six month stay in Africa. I spent four months in Mali where I did building and construction on one church, an elementary school, a school administratorís office, a dormitory building at the Bible School, and rewired half the buildings at the Bible School. I worked on the building of a large storage facility in Bamako, and also did a variety of other maintenance projects. I also spent one month on a Mercy Ship in Benin, helping with modification of the shipís ventilation system. The Mercy Ship is a fully equipped surgical hospital. I really enjoyed the time in Benin, because it was gave me an opportunity to experience another whole area of Africa, and a completely different type of ministry. Since returning to Minnesota, I have been serving as Youth Pastor at my home church. I always enjoy being with the teens. As a matter of fact, I was able to take some of the teens from my church along to Mali during this year. One of the high school boys went with me in January, and another of the boys accompanied me on a one-month trip to Mali in June to complete the dorm building at the Bible School in Mana. Now I am preparing for another trip to Africa. I will be leaving in early January for Bamako, Mali. I will be completing the remaining projects at the Mana Bible School, and also doing some additional work with Gospel Missionary Union. I will be working with three different work teams from the United States doing repairs to the Bible School buildings and putting in a foundation for a medical clinic. The ministry of the Mana Bible School has been growing and expanding, and it has been my privilege to help with the necessary building expansion. The medical clinic is a new project, and will be a ministry into the community by the Bible School. It will be a chance for the Bible School students to give back to the community and will be a great witnessing tools. The nearest hospital is in Bamako, which is an hour and a half drive, if you have a vehicle. For many of the people, medical care is far away and expensive. This outreach will be a tremendous addition to the Bible School. I will be in Mali through April. In May I am planning to go to Tanzania to work with Africa Inland Mission. I will be overseeing several construction work teams from the United States. The details of this part of my trip is still not finalized. I know that I will spend one month making arrangements for accommodating the teams, selecting the building sites, and securing supplies and equipment. I plan to be back in the United States in September, 2002. So, as you can see, I have a busy year ahead. Of course, I need to raise a considerable amount of financial support for the nine months I will be in Africa. I would appreciate your prayer and financial support of my ministry. I am praying for a group of regular supporters who will pledge a monthly support amount which will make my financial situation more stable. If you would like to help me in my work, please fill out the enclosed support form, and return it to Faith Community Church. I will be keeping in touch with my supporters throughout my trip, so if you would like to receive e-mail updates, be sure to include your e-mail address. Please remember me in prayer. In Him, John Blosser
